Reiulf Ramstad Architects was founded in Oslo, Norway in 1995.
In 2014 we also opened a branch office in Innsbruck, Austria where Architekt Zt DI Benedikt Hörmann is Office Manager. Benedikt Hörmann is a German native and a Graduate architect from University of Innsbruck (Universität Innsbruck) Austria and ETSAM Madrid, Spain.

Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter with Team DNA (Det Norske Arkitektkontor), are happy to be participating in the competition to develop and transform the Norwegian Government Headquarters in Oslo. The upcoming project is by far the most extensive construction project in Norway!
It's official, our team has been selected in France to convert the former train tracks connecting Rosheim to St-Nabor into a pedestrian and bicycle green path. This project will invite both locals and visitors to gather and explore the rich Alsacien landscape. We believe it will become an important touristic destination in Alsace, especially for all the gourmets and wine lovers out there!
We are excited to participate in the competition for a new welcome center at Mols Bjerge National Park outside of Aarhus Denmark.

We are very proud to announce that Reiulf Ramstad was elevated to Honorary Fellow of The College of Fellows, The American Institute of Architects. The Ceremony took place at Irvine Auditorium, University Of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia together with, among others, Mr Yoishiko Sano, and Mr Gonzalo Mardones Viviani.
After ten years of planning, the Norwegian Mountaineering Center was opened on May 13th at Åndalsnes. “There is hardly a better place for such a Mountaineering Center!” – says the Norwegian Crown Prince at the opening of the Norwegian Mountaineering Center.
RRA is thrilled to announce that the Miami Design District Associates has submitted plans to build the two-story high-end retail building. The wood project aims to introduce a new dynamic in the area based on Nordic values. RRA is the Design Architect and Stantec is the local architect partner.

We are proud to be winners of the German Design Awards within two categories: Excellent Communications Design for Architecture and Interior Architecture.
Infill created a short construction video for V10 in Oslo. V10 is a 7- storey building with 12 apartments on a hill in Iladalen with an exclusive rooftop garden for all the residents. The building was completed in 2015.

The last couple of months we have been very busy with multiple competitions and it's starting to pay off! While some still are anonymous and hush-hush, we would like to share with you two of our most recent 1st-prize winners.
We are thrilled to hear that our most recently completed project, the Cultural Centre in Stjørdal, has been nominated to the Norwegian Concrete Award for 2015.
On request from the commissioner, the National Association of Architects has appointed two members of the jury: Reiulf Ramstad (Oslo) and Martin Videgård (Stockholm).

We are glad to have found a nice space to open an office in Innsbruck! In a creative working atmosphere next to the Büchsenhausen Castle and with views of the characteristic mountain chain Nordkette we are starting to get involved in the architectural scene in central Europe, trying to make our impact and bring some refreshing ideas.

The diploma may be awarded to projects that "are outstanding, independent and architecturally comprehensive works." It is also a requirement that the building has been completed more than 3 years ago. The winners receive a bronze plaque to be mounted on the building.
The new Romsdal Museum construction site has been featured with a video in the regional news of Møre and Romsdal county on NRK. The museum director notes that the general public seems positive about the "strange and distinctive building".
The central district of Tøyen in Oslo is predicted to become "the next" Grünerløkka, in spite of being troubled by challenging social conditions, a run-down shopping centre and sprawling infrastructure. As Tøyen has the most multicultural population in Norway, we've proposed to express its cultural diversity with a metro station to become the most characteristic and colourful of Oslo and hope to create an inspiring first impression.
The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award is one of the most important and prestigious prizes for architecture within Europe, awarded every second year. RRA has previously been nominated for Østfold University College (2007) and Trollstigen National Tourist Route (2011 and 2013). Now, for the third consecutive time, we have been nominated for the 2015 award – this year with two new projects!
The Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture has announced that its most prestigious prize – the Jacob Award – will be given to Reiulf Ramstad at the award ceremony 20th of November at DogA.
Late this summer we completed a very unique project along the south coast of Norway. Characterised by traditional pitched roofs and use of timber construction, the Micro Cluster Cabins are a collection of multiple interconnected units of clear geometric volumes.
The project has been featured on several architecture blogs and flourished in social media following its publication.
The building is presented as a solid wood and concrete construction that contributes to promote the use of wood along the country, which adds value in wood processing enterprises in Norway.
Our characteristic mountainous outline of the new Folk Museum in Molde is taking shape. The concrete structure is almost completed, while works on the solid timber construction will commence in a few weeks.
A lot of things is happening at Reiulf Ramstad Architects these days: we recently moved into brand new offices, our new website has been launched, and we're even updating our graphic profile!
