Leütens Have will be an important node in downtown Trondheim, providing a social and cultural arena for all of its inhabitants. At the same time, it provides a positive work environment for many of the municipality’s employees. The project is designed on the basis of the relationship between the building in the city and the city in the building. As the central meeting point, Leütens Have is the hinge to connect the surrounding neighborhoods with the city center, and it also offers generous space for voluntary organizations and cultural life in Trondheim. The building seeks to reinterpret local building traditions, coupled with innovative and adventurous architecture that is meant to clarify its modern functions and beating pulse, thereby becoming an attraction and a landmark.
