The new residential area of Slemdal will offer urban and contemporary apartments, and it will be a contribution to the densification of Oslo. The project consists of three freestanding building clusters. The volumes are adapted to their context in terms of size, and they are placed to establish well-defined outdoor spaces. The residents will have a high level of variation and flexibility, through offering different sizes and characters. The project takes into consideration the noise of the nearby roads, by giving all the apartments a protected side turned away from the car traffic. Together with an aesthetical, rational and contemplated architectural design, the new residential area will be adjusted to both current and future ways of living.
