Lecture at The St Petersburg Biennale

RRA is returning to Russia to give a lecture at The State Hermitage Museum on 17th of November.

The St Petersburg Biennale of Museum Design is a unique project which will use exhibitions and an extensive educational program to present examples of the best museum design from both Russia and the rest of the world.

From The Biennale Organizers:

“The program for the biennale includes exhibitions prepared by Russian and foreign designers, lectures by world-famous architects and designers, master-classes, and competitions for student designers!

Museum design involves the use of architecture and design to generate ideas and solutions for fitting out the museum environment, presenting the museum and its collection to a broad audience, and promoting museums’ products. This is a broad concept which includes architectural design of the museum space, design of permanent and temporary exhibitions, organization of a museum’s navigation, design of museums’ printed products, and much else besides. An important part of modern museum design is care for disabled visitors”
