A Neighborhood For Everyone : Converting The Old Veterinary School in Oslo

The Norwegian Veterinary School in Oslo, back in 1936.

We are thrilled to announce that our team En-Bydel-For-Alle (a neighborhood for everyone) is prequalified in the competition for the holistic development of The Old Veterinary School in Oslo.

In collaboration with LPO arkitekter, Grindaker AS landskapsarkitekter, BARK Rådgivning and WSP in Norway, we have been chosen as one of three teams to develop The Old Veterinary School in Oslo. The area served as a veterinary school, closed to the public until 2020. The new neighborhood will be a mixed-use area of 6,5 hectare in which Oslobygg KF i Oslo kommune and Linstow are co-owners.

“We have assembled an exciting and highly competent team that complements each other well, combining experience and execution capability with curiosity and the ability to think innovatively. Our team and the composition of resources cover all the competence areas needed to address the specific tasks outlined for the parallel assignment concerning the Old Veterinary School," says Christian N. Madsen, managing director of LPO Architects.

Design director and partner Reiulf Ramstad at Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter believe that the Old Veterinary School can be developed and transformed into a very appealing and diverse space in our city, with high quality and low threshold.

"The Old Veterinary School is a venerable institution and an important cultural heritage site in the city of Oslo. A focus on reuse, protection and preservation will be important in our future work as the area is developed to meet the needs of the future," says WSP Marketing manager Jasna Erichsen

As a team, we can’t wait to collaborate on this ambitious project with OsloBygg and Linstow!
